Jesus replied, "I will only reveal myself to those who love me and obey me. The Father will love them too, and we will come to them and live with them.”   John 14:23 (LB)

If someone were to ask you, "What is the point of Christianity?" what would you answer?   I think most Christians would assert the assurance we have that our place in heaven is secure because of what Jesus did for us on the cross.  Sadly not very many of us would go into a dialogue of how Jesus reveals Himself to us each and every day.  We wouldn't speak to what it's like to live with God the Father and God the Son as we walk each day with God the Holy Spirit.   Most people probably wouldn't understand it if we did.

This morning I received a text reminding me that a friend had gone through a planned surgery yesterday and was in the hospital.  It was a short text telling me that the surgery was a success and the hospital and room number our friend was in.  While I'm reading the text I was a little disappointed in myself because I had gotten busy with so many other things I had forgotten to call before the surgery.  Then the familiar voice of God said, "Let Carolyn know you will be going to the hospital today."   He didn't say, "You need to be a better Pastor" or "You aren't a very good friend."   He simply said, "Let's go."    I'm convinced the best thing I can hear from God is, "Lets go."   The best thing I can do with God is join Him every time He says it.    At the end of each day, that is the point of Christianity.
