Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.  Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.   Ephesians 5:16-17 (NLT2)

Every day is filled with good things and bad things.   Today something good may be happening to me but something bad may be happening to you.   Tomorrow it may be just the opposite or even worse, we both may be going through something bad.   Most days are a combination of both.   When we add what is happening in the lives of our loved ones, it's a rare day when we are not impacted by evil.

God wants us to hate evil but He knows even though we do, we must still deal with it.   The good news is that God has a plan in the midst of all that is wrong in this world.  In Christ, we have been included in that plan.  Every act of evil brings with it an opportunity for good.  Of course God wants us to pray for ourselves and others as we are impacted by evil.   However, God also wants us to see the opportunities to act on His behalf as well.   He wants us to seek Him out and come to know what, if anything, He wants us to do.

Do you know someone who is up against evil right now?   Maybe they are hurting from choices they have made.  Maybe they are hurting because of choices others have made.   Maybe sickness and disease is robbing them of joy.   Maybe they have been rejected by a loved one.   The list is long as to the evil that is pounding on the lives of people we encounter every day.  Is today the day God wants to let them know that He has not forgotten them?  Is today the day He wants to use you to remind them?   Let me ecourage you to think about what God may want you to do today.   More importantly, let me encourage you to step out in faith and be His hand that reaches out, that calms the fear and relieves the doubt!
